Locks of Love

As many of you know, we lost my Mother in law, Mary Ann, in December to breast cancer. She was the most remarkable woman I have ever known. We miss her everyday and thank God for the years we had with her. She was the most incredible Mother and Grandmother anyone could ever ask for. My kids were so blessed to have known her, even though it was for such a brief time in their lives. She meant the world to them and they will never forget her. Madeline, who was especially close to Mary Ann decided that she wanted to donate her hair to locks of love when she found out what it was and that it helped other girls who had to be on medication like Grandma. Although Mary Ann didn't get to see Mady's new haircut, I know she was smiling down on us today as Mady had 8 inches cut off to donate. She was so very brave and we couldn't be more proud of her. These are some pictures of her hair before she had the cut. I hope everyone who reads this will take a minute to say a prayer for the ones you love and have in your life. Please cherish everyday you have with your family and friends and don't take a single day for granted. We miss you Grandma Mary Ann and look forward to seeing you again someday.
