Matt, Uncle Greg, Papa Roger and Uncle Jeff
Uncle Jeff loves that Jet ski!

Take me out to the ball game!

Uncle Jeff came down and sat with us for a little while during the game.
Lou E. Loon is the bomb!
Hayden was not so sure about Lou E., but Mady couldn't get enough of him.
Uncle Jeff and Matt up at the Dow Chemical Suite. It was such a great time. Thanks Uncle Jeff, we had a ball, literally!

Madeline Goes to Camp...................

This year Mady went to day camp. She loved camp so much and especially her camp director Amber. She made some new friends and got to spend some time with Miriam and Eli who she doesn't get to see very often. Just before we got to camp on the last day I looked in my rear view mirror and she looked really sad, so I said "Mady, why so sad?" She replied "It's the very last day of camp Mommy, can you believe it?" So sweet. Such wonderful memories!

Summer '08

With summer coming to an end soon, I decided to put some photo's on here that show a little glimpse of our summer. Yes, we spent most of the summer at the lake. How could you tell! Enjoy these last few weeks, they will be gone before we know it.

Even more summer photo's..................

Mommy & Mady before pool party. Yes, we have matching dresses! I know, I know you don't have to say it. Ha ha

Hayden's favorite food in the whole world, sweet corn from papa's garden
Another corn fan...........
I think he had three pieces that night at the lake.

Hayden's favorite part of grocery shopping!

The robin's nest that kept my kids interest peeked for weeks!

Knitting 101

Okay, believe it or not, I am going to blog about myself and not my kids for once. Anyway, I have just recently picked up a new hobby. My neighbor up at the lake has taught me how to knit. Although I am just a beginner, I really enjoy it. It is so relaxing and I find myself just unwinding as I do it. I started out with the washcloths that every one's grandma has made before and progressed to a blanket for Mady's American Girl doll (which was originally a scarf for Mady, but turned out a little too wide!) Currently I am working on a hat for Mady. I will take some pic's and upload them soon. To anyone who might be interested, I can't recommend it enough. It's a great stress reliever.

Girls will be girls....................

Mady and Aubrey before swimming. They are too cute.
